Paula Evans Paula undertook work experience at the firm upon leaving school in 1993. She went on to Palmers College and then to read Law at Anglia Ruskin University, often returning to Scannell & Co to provide cover for absent members of staff. Following University, Paula commenced training on a full time basis at the firm whilst attending the College of Law, London, where she obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice and undertook a Professional Skills Course. Paula qualified as a Solicitor on 3 September 2001 and has been in charge of the Family Department since that time. Paula
took over the firm and became a sole practitioner on the 1st October, when

Gerry Gander Geraldine Gander (Gerry) joined the firm in 2007 as a
Conveyancing Executive having previously worked for Cumming & Riley in Grays in their
Conveyancing Department. Gerry has also worked at some of the large London City Solicitors including Norton Rose, Lovell White Durrant (where she was probate manager),
Eversheds, and Lawrence Graham. Gerry is popular with staff and clients alike
and provides a no nonsense, efficient approach to all matters. |

Chris Bailey Chris commenced working for the firm in 1996 as Mrs Scannell’s Personal Secretary. She had previously worked for Sanders & Co for seven years, during which time she gained extensive experience in Litigation, Crime and Matrimonial Law.
When Elizabeth Scannell retired in 2008, Chris became Assistant to Paula Evans Chris ensures she is familiar with the circumstances of each case and deals with queries raised by Clients in a sympathetic and highly competent manner. |

Sharon (Taff) Sumpter Taff was originally our Receptionist and commenced working for the firm in October 2003.
Since Elizabeth Scannell retired, Taff also provides assistance to Paula
Evans. Taff has proved to be a great asset to the firm, having gained extensive legal experience working for various London firms. Taff is approachable and will be happy to assist where possible or ensure your immediate referral to an appropriate member of staff. |

Sue Galley Sue is our Legal Cashire,
and has worked for the firm since September 2004. Sue had previously worked in Banking for approximately twelve years, which included a post with the Royal Bank of Scotland, before leaving work to start a family. Sue assists in dealing with all aspects of the firm’s accounts, and ensures the smooth running of the office by undertaking general administration.
Although Sue works predominantly in the Accounts Department, she also
provides invaluable support to Paula Evans in the General Management of
the Office |

Katie Ross Katie started working at the firm in 2002 as a gap year student, and then went on to Anglia Ruskin University to read Law. Katie then completed the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law, Holborn, whilst continuing to work at the firm throughout her studies. Katie has recently joined us to complete her training, assisting all departments, having gained valuable commercial experience at a top 75 London firm. |
